The UWS Midwifery Society is run for the the students by the students in order to provide opportunites to learn, laugh and let loose! 

 

Our aim is to have at least one workshop or speaker session every month, with social gatherings, film screenings and fundraisers scattered in between.

The society is a fantastic way for midwifery students to learn more about subjects that are not covered in lectures and add valuable skills to their practice.

No one else understands the demands of this course, so what better way to let off steam, have fun and learn something new than with a group of like-minded individuals.

As much as we wish we could let you access all this for free some events such as the study days may have a fee. However this will be at a greatly reduced cost than if you were to attend them out with the society.

In order to be as fair as possible we will alternate venue between each campus when possible.

We pride ourselves on being a society run by the students for the students, so if there’s anything you would like us to do don’t hesitate to get in touch.
